Please help us to make Van Gogh House a reality. We want to create first a Call Center, and then an actual physical place to go to. We want this to be free for the many who cannot afford any healthcare, so we need community/crowdfunded support.
Your donation will go toward these two goals and all costs to run them effectively. There will be many areas that will need funding: food, security, a doctor on staff, short-term housing, an EMDR Therapist, Open Dialogue Specialists, office and administration staff, and a Marketing/Fundraising Team.
We are not trying to be like “Inner Fire”, a drug-free mental health program which costs $144,000/year. We will be focusing mainly on Emergency Care to prevent hospitalization and short-term therapies. We hope to offer the “basic services” at no cost, and will have “Ala Carte” services offered for a fee for those who can contribute financially, to help fund the overhead.
A large part of Van Gogh House will be access to a traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna to help people to detox safely and naturally from both street and psychiatric drugs. We will work with the Friend of VGH to help them learn safer, more effective coping mechanisms and no one will be forced to stop smoking cigarettes, using heavy amounts of Alcohol, or large uses of substances overnight. Sauna will be helpful in this important endeavor.
A long term vision of developing a “Van Gogh House Tiny Home Community” is also in our plans for those who cannot return to their pre-VGH home life.
This will be a for-profit business, as we will not be taking any money from the government to cover costs. This is to prevent regulations on treatments offered and to give people access to plant medicines, smoking nicotine and medical marijuana, and other modalities like therapeutically guided microdosing of Psylocybin. Smoking is currently banned in all “hospitals”.
